Now i will admit both movies are very bad on a mongoloid level. But after recently watching all four movies in a row.... Jaws 3 is quite possibly the worst movie ever. From production value, to plot, to special effects, to acting. The amazing part is that Jaws 3 has actors that actually went on to do other things! Dennis Quaid, Lewis Gossett Jr, Marty McFly's Mom (Leigh Thompson).... Sea World Orlando is Landlocked first off, The idea of shark maternal love, and worst off the idea that a 35 foot "megolodon" could hide in a manmade lagoon. Finally sharks don't swim backwards, and great whites don't have the ability pump water over their gills, so the shark floating in one place for a substantial amount of time would've suffocated it. The acting is poor, the premise is bad, but if we could get past that...The special effects are the worst i've seen even in a student film. Jaws the Revenge has Mario Van Peebles and Michael Cain, so you think it would be a timeless classic. The visuals are the sharpest out of all of the films, yet it fails with the idea of a Shark Taking Revenge on the Brody family, apparently the original shark was grandpa, then grandma, then daughter, then grandchild, and finally we can assume Father Great White shark. And they are a proud mafia family. First why did Sean have to get the peace of drift wood out of the buoy when clearly the buoy was still working fine and the channel was clearly not busy? How can a shark travel from New England to the Bahamas in 3 days? Since when do sharks roar? and finally how does a shark spontaneously combust for no other reason than it was obviously a creature from the movie Predator and couldn't deal with defeat. All this aside I prefer Jaws The Revenge. I just really wished they would've stuck to the original premise and made the third installment a joke on purpose...Jaws 3 people 0
