JAWS Resurrection – A Fan Film

This is a hysterically bad JAWS fan film I made when I was around 10 years old. (Regrettably, I may have actually been 13...not sure) It's basically the first film, but staggered and condensed down to the bullet points of the bullet points of the log line. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QkrfSm9OuSE However, aside from the bad acting, embarrassing camera work, and the obvious use of one actor for several prominent roles throughout . . . we built a shark out of a garbage can and its a fun look at how much more imagination I had as a child than I do now. We have a lake . . . let's make a JAWS movie.
  1. Your shark’s jaws worked great! Had a lot of life to it. Awesome movement. I made 3 JAWS films myself (one in 1975 when I was 12, then in 1976 and the last one in 1979). I also made the sharks , redoing them every year. I also used a 10 ft. 2×4 which had a dorsal and tail fin that was pulled thru the water with fishing line and boy, it worked GREAT! Years later, I saw on the JAWS documentary that they applied the same technique while filming the pond scene and it made me kind of feel proud.
I remember I took my film projector to school when I was in the 7th grade and had a audio cassette player with John William’s main title theme that played repeatedly throughout my silent 10 minute film and my classmates absolutely loved it.
