Just keep checking in here from time to time and perhaps sign up to the jawsmovie group on facebook? Something is likely to happen at some point (early summer?) next year, whether it'll be official or not, who knows? We thought this year was a lock and then, "Jesus H Christ…"

    Stay in touch! ;-)

Hey Guys! My name is Rob and I have always wanted to go to Martha's Vineyard for Jawsfest! I live in MA so I've especially wanted to go since it is so close! My friends and I made a JAWS spoof called "FINS" for a film festival and we wanted to find out more about JAWSFEST 2011 to contact the head honcho and see if we could get our movie involved in it in anyway. Hope to hear more about it soon! Here's the link to "FINS" if anyone is interested.

    Paul,

I've visited from Wales. It breaks down like this if you're travelling from England:

    1. Heathrow to Boston (suggest a few days in Boston).
Hire a Jeep and drive to Woods Hole on Cape Cod – 1.5 hours ish.

    2. Ferry to Martha's Vineyard – book online before you go http://www.steamshipauthority.com/ssa/ – 1 hour ish????

    3. Drive and stay in Edgartown. I stayed in Edgartown Commons (http://www.edgartowncommons.com/) and it was rock and role lovely. Slap in the middle of town.

I'd then stay another few days in Boston at the arse end of the holiday.

You could also stay in Hyannis for a few days before catching the ferry to MV. We stayed in the Sea Breaze (http://www.seabreezeinn.com/) just down from the Kennedy's. Cheap as chips, but good value…. Hyannis is a nice town and a good base to visit the likes of Sandwich and Provincetown (where all the fellas will do ANYTHING for a doughnut).

Catch a Red Sox game in Boston. Drink Sam Adams in the bleaches wearing shorts and Hawaiian Tropic.

    Magic, magic all the way.

I did have a spreadsheet with all the costs on, but can't find it.

Based on two weeks in June you're looking at the following based on 2 people:

    Flights £480 p/p with Virgin – £960
    Boston 2 nights – £250
    Ferry to MV – £54
    Edgartown Commons 10 nights – £633
    Boston 2 nights – £250
Car hire 10 days – £190 (something like Chevy Aveo) or £300 for a 4×4.

Also if you are on any kind of a budget. It is 10 minutes from Logan airport to downtown Boston by cab. There are buses from Logan or downtown to Wood Hole About $50.00 round trip, Boat is $15.00 round trip without a car. On Island there are public buses $25.00 for a 7 day bus pass for all over the Island. If you are staying downtown Edgartown the buses are right there and you would be in walking distance to most of everything in Edgartown. Rent a car for a day or two to travel up Island .

Basically Paul, travelling around Boston and New England is a peice of piss.

I've driven and travelled all over the world and the US is simple. Driving out there is simple, even if you're on the wrong side of the road. I've driven in Paris, Milan, Madrid, Lisbon, Rekjavic etc and that's tough. America is easier than the UK.

So what I'm saying is just go there.

Just look out for roundabouts as Americans can't seem to handle them properly.

In the translation from English to American Rotaries (Roundabouts) are backwards

Mass has the most rotaries out of all the States in America

You handle Rotaries different to the rest of the World.

I found out it was based on a take it in turn basis. Whereas we give way to traffic coming from the right (or left as it would be for you guys).

Ya I guess we do. We have a lot of 4 way stop signs here in Amity and we take turns with them also.
