With widescreen TV I finally got a chance to freeze frame and look at the beer can that Quint drinks and crushes on the Orca right before Hooper crushes the styrofoam.

Being born in the south, I had never seen nor heard of a Narraganssett. I managed to find a can on eBay that was exactly the same as the one in the movie and it still had it's pull tab intact.

I set out to actually taste Naraganssett and I looked online and found the company (quite a history) and found that I could not have it shipped to me in Alabama. I had to wait until I had a co-worker who was going to the North East and got me one can.

I iced it down in it's own bucket of of ice and started Jaws and when it got to the part where Quint kills the beer I popped the top and killed mine too...hoping to get that same taste and flavor that he had in 1975.

I wish I could get Naraganssett....
