My favorite part in “Jaws” was the estuary scene where the shark enters the pond and eats the man in the red rowboat and goes past Mike Brody causing him to be in shock. How did they do that scene and where is Ted Grossman now and how old is he?

He was eaten by the shark never to be heard from again.

Wait, all of that caused the shark to go into shock?

They filmed the fin over in Sagawhateverthefuck Pond, the shark itself in Katama Bay. That was Ted’s real leg – he sued the production company and settled out of court for an undisclosed sum.

I wrote to Ted about two years ago (via his crappy ass talent agency) and had about given up hope when he finally received it; he wrote me back (what a sport) and signed the picture I sent to him (the scene from said film) with an apology for talking so long.

    He’s 97 years old.

Oh, and he was ‘the stiff’ in the Goonies.

We all know that Ted was put back together again to play the dead body in the freezer in The Goonies

I heard he was working on the pilot for a new show on the LOGO network about two men having gay sex on an old couch in a New York City apartment. It stars Gary Busey and Louis Gossett, Jr. as the two men, and Teddy plays their kooky neighbor who is in a wheelchair (on account of his missing leg) and likes to come over and watch from time to time. The tentative working title is “Two Men in a New York City Apartment Having Sex and Their Crippled Neighbor”. I’m not gay, so I won’t be watching it. Shaun, let me know how it turns out.
