December 17, 2009 at 11:02 pm #8538I will cheat by listing trilogies.
1. Jaws
2. The Jack Ryan trilogy (Hunt 4 Red October, Patriot Games, Clear/Present Danger. I refuse Sum of All Fears as part of it.)
3. LOTR trilogy
4. Die Hard (all)
5. CasablancaI'm basing this on the amount of times I've seen them. It's sick, I can word for word quote Jaws, H4RO and Die Hard. If I was locked in a mental asylum, which is altogether possible, I could at least play those movies over and over in my mind.

March 27, 2010 at 8:02 am #8548Favourite film is tricky one. Some films I can watch over and over for various reasons. These reasons may be from childhood or memories at the time.
Therfore I've opted for the following five apart from JAWS as that film is obvious.
Raiders of The Lost Ark. Childhood classic and a near perfect film.
Goonies. Another childhood classic I can watch anyday.
Ghostbusters. Another childhood classic I can watch anyday.
ZULU. Just a truly awesome remarkable true film. And it was made by a Welshman about a Welsh army. For my final choice I'm stuck between Casino Royal and the cheesy rom-com Perfect Catch.
Casino Royal is just awesome. I also watched the film just before my wedding and honeymoon which was in the beach/hotel in the film.
Perfect Catch I watched on the plane to Boston and MV. It was about the Red Sox too and I had in my pocket several tickets to Fenway. So this film reminds me of Boston, Feenway and MV.
I simply can't decide.

March 29, 2010 at 10:35 am #8551Jaws
The Exorcist
Alien
Runaway Train
DeliveranceMarch 29, 2010 at 5:26 pm #8552I can rank the top two, but the others always change.
1. Jaws
2. Halloween
3. Schindler's List
4. Silence of the Lambs
5. Saving Private RyanJurassic Park is sometimes in the top five simply becase I loved it as a kid and saw it more times than any movie in the theater, probably around a dozen times. I was obsessed. Also Psycho, Die Hard, Speed, Dick Tracy, and Beetlejuice sometimes sneak their way around.
March 29, 2010 at 11:52 pm #8553Tough choices but I gotta go with:
1. Jaws & Jaws II
2. Full Metal Jacket
3. Blazing Saddles
4. Zulu (good choice Kahuna, but I believe it was a British regement with some Welsh soldiers in it)
5. Force 10 from NavaroneI've go to give an "honorable" mention to the "Lone wolf and Cub" series. 6 of the best Samurai slasher films af all times : )
March 31, 2010 at 2:17 pm #8554Navyguns,
Welsh regiments come under Britain.
The regiment was 24th Regiment of Foot based in Brecon, Powys. Not long after the battle they were re-named the South Wales Borderers.
People from Britain go to various regiments. That regiment was mainly made up of Welsh, English, some Irish and a Scot.
The nationality split on pages like Wikipedia are incorrent. For some reason they class the area of Monmouthshire (Sir Fynwy) as English, when it's in Wales. And 18 Monmouth men were in that battle alone.
And that's the double truth, Ruth….
April 1, 2010 at 5:31 am #8555Ive been re-watching some oldies lately just to see if they stand up today and maybe spark some good memories .
The WolfMan (40's), The Land that time forgot , the Valley of Gwangi , King Kong (76) , Thunderbolt & Lightfoot , Wargames , Scarface , The Hitcher , all have place in my top 10 .
The very top is a close thing , a tie between Jaws & Crocodile Dundee .
the other day I noticed one line in CD is similar to Jaws , Mick says 'Tenderizes you and takes u down'
